Perfect analogy! "Don't anticipate." "Don't know what's going to happen; experience it, then respond." Simple, yet hard for many to do. Thanks, Michael!

I've never played Rock Band, but I do play music (blues harmonica) and always, during the solo sections, love to be surprised by what comes up. I have a tendency to play with my eyes closed and see the music. Thrilling to hear/see something new!

I also have not played Rock Band in years, but it is super fun! Reacting in the moment is a great skill for actors. I try my best :)

Listening with specificity and allowing that to land used to rock my acting. My concern used to be "pacing" and having to have the Director tell me to "pick up my pace" (therefore, thinking instead of being) ...but when I started trusting my "allowing" and my "response" to what was being said, gave me the freedom to be present and respond organically. If this makes any sense. !
