Thanks for the tips. I have used Rehearsal Pro for some time. You still only get out what you put into it. It's not a magic bullet. I've had varying degrees of success with the mashup of tips you gave. Biggest takeaway is to make it fun. The more fun, the easier it is.

Michael, congratulations! Can’t wait to see your new show. Thank you for the tip. I’m blessed that memorization is innate for me. It seems to be a skill I was born with. Although I always worry about memorizing prior to prepping an audition. Actor insecurity. I always have to remind myself I can do it! I’ve done it before and I can do it again. I use a great technique from Harold Guskin’s group called “taking it off the page.” It works very well.

As someone with Straight A Student syndrome, thank you for putting it in language that I can use to shed some stress off it. My brain often feels "exhausted" by the concept of memorization without rehearsals, context with other actors, sets, blocking, etc. Coming at it from a discovery-centered location will be more like "I have the role, what am I gonna do with it?" rather than "show up and get the lines right." We live in a world where entire social media accounts are made for TV and film bloopers - let's live in that acceptance for being human and having fun while telling a story.
Awesome techniques Michael! Love them!
