I always create my self-tapes for my own learning process, really. Do the best you can, learn from the experience, maybe find a new camera angle or lighting trick or favorite audition outfit, perform the role as you can and discover maybe a moment that surprises you, then send the tape in and forget about it. Watched or unwatched, I try to find something to enjoy or grow on from making them.

Agreed. We are not entitled to anybody's attention. You can tell pretty fast if someone will work for your casting needs. If there is anything about your tape that is interesting to the CD, they'll watch it. If not, you don't get to take up their time.

I agree with you. Our job is the audition, full-stop. The rest is none of our business. I adore your kitty. You are a cat-sitting director.😊
