Agreed, Michael. I learn so much more about the scene, the rhythms of the language, the other characters by memorizing the scene. Plus, I get to look at the "others" in the scene and not at the page - always good for eyelines and relationship to camera. It takes me a long time for a multi-page scene, but I always find it's worth it.
